How to cook crepes
Written By Unknown on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 | 12:32 AM
A few basic ingredients - flour, eggs, milk and sugar - and some simple kitchen equipment and a little know-how are all you need to create perfect lacy crepes.
How to cook crepes
Heat a crepe pan or 18cm (base measurement) non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Brush with melted butter to lightly grease. Pour 2 tablespoons of batter into the pan and tilt the pan in a circular motion, swirling the batter to evenly cover the base. Cook until the edge of the crepe begins to curl. Turn and cook until golden underneath. Your crepes should ideally be lacy and thin enough for you to see through.
How to freeze crepes
Layer the crepes between sheets of non-stick baking paper to create stacks of eight. Cover with foil and place in sealable plastic bags. Label, date and freeze for up to 2 months. To thaw, place in the fridge for 2 hours or until thawed. To reheat, preheat oven to 180°C. Remove crepe stacks from the bags and place the foil-wrapped stacks on a baking tray. Bake in oven for 10 minutes or until heated through.
How to season a new steel crepe pan
Seasoning a new steel crepe pan will seal the surface and stop your crepes sticking. Place the pan over medium heat and sprinkle salt over the base. Rub the pan with paper towel until the salt and paper towel begin to discolour. Discard salt and paper towel. Repeat three times. To care for your seasoned pan, wipe clean with paper towel after use, then wipe with a cloth dipped in vegetable oil before storing. Don’t wash the pan in soapy water or you’ll need to season it again.

How to Be Romantic (5 Steps + Photos)
Written By Unknown on Monday, July 29, 2013 | 5:20 AM
It takes great care, forethought, and creativity to be truly romantic.
If you want to be romantic, then you have to find an unexpected and
exciting way to express your love for another person. It can be tricky
to be romantic without feeling corny or insincere, whether you're
starting a new relationship and want to show your new significant other
how much you care, or if you've been with the same partner for twenty
years and want to keep things fresh. If you want to know how to be
romantic, just follow these steps.
Be Thoughtful
1-Give thoughtful gifts. Though flowers or chocolate can make almost anyone smile, you can surprise your loved one even more if you give a gift tailored to his or her personality, so it's something that he or she will really appreciate. This type of gift will be very romantic because it will show that you put a lot of thought into what would make the perfect gift for your special someone. Here are some romantic gift ideas:
- Gifts for a music lover: concert tickets, an iTunes gift card, a new CD, a book about his or her favorite artist or band, a record player with a few records, a DVD of a concert of his favorite band, a poster of his favorite band, or even a bobble-head of his or her favorite musician.
- Gifts for a sports fan: a signed baseball, basketball, or football, a baseball cap or jersey with his or her favorite team's logo on it, tickets to a highly sought-after game, a "voucher" for a weekend trip to see a new sports arena, a shout-out on the Jumbotron during a game, or a documentary about your loved one's favorite athlete.
- Gifts for a food lover: a new cookbook, a subscription to a cooking magazine, a gift card to a new restaurant, a fancy bottle of wine paired with delicious cheese, enrollment in a cooking glass, a fancy new cooking tool, or nice new serving bowls.
- Gifts for a fashion lover: a gift card to his or her favorite store, a new outfit from their favorite store, a new pair of shoes, tickets to a fashion show, or fashionable accessories.
- Gifts for a book lover: an e-reader, a personalized bookmark, a signed copy or first edition of a book, a gift card to a book store, a surprise trip to a reading by his or her favorite author, or a copy of a rare book.
- Gifts for an outdoor lover: Clothing for his or her favorite activity, whether it's hiking or mountain biking, sunglasses or binoculars, guidebooks for a new location he or she wanted to visit, or other outdoor gear they've wanted, like a new backpack.
Dates for a music lover:
Go to his or her favorite artist's concert. If it's a free concert at a park, pack a small picnic to accompany the show.
- Listen to a local jazz or folk concert at a small cafe. Enjoy wine or dessert while you listen.
- Cook a romantic meal while listening to the records of your loved one's favorite artist.
- If you play the guitar, write a romantic song and serenade your loved one with it.
- Spend an afternoon perusing a record store with your loved one. Then go home and enjoy your new acquisitions.
- Go on a hike to the top of the mountain and enjoy a picnic along the way.
- Take a boat ride.
- Ride bikes on a wooden trail.
- Go horseback riding.
- Take a long walk or a jog on the beach together.
- Spend a night stargazing on a blanket. Bring a small telescope for the occasion
Date for the sentimental type:
- If you've been together for a while, recreate your first date together and write your loved one a letter that shows how much your love has grown since then.
- Spend a day hitting up all of your favorite local haunts. Order the same foods and drinks you used to love.
- Spend a night in looking at your old photos and letters.
Dates for a food lover:
- Cook your loved one her favorite meal. Practice making it when he or she isn't there so it's perfect.
- Make cheese or chocolate fondue together.
- Arrange a perfect cheese and nuts plate to go with an nice bottle of wine.
- Play light jazz, light candles, and cook a meal together.
3-Leave thoughtful notes for your loved one. If you want to keep your romance alive, then you should leave thoughtful notes for your loved one to find when you aren't around. If you leave the house earlier than your loved one for work or another reason, leave a post-it note on the bathroom mirror that tells your loved one something like, "I hope you have a wonderful day, sweetie. I can't wait to see you tonight!" This will make your loved one smile as soon as he sees it. Here are some other ways to leave thoughtful notes:
- Leave a note in your loved one's textbook or pleasure-reading book. Your loved one may not find it for a few days, but when he does, it'll put a big smile on his face.
- If your loved one is going away on a trip for a few days, put it in his or her travel bag, in a place where he won't look until he gets to his destination. This will make him think of you as soon as he opens it, and you won't feel like you're so far away.
- If you're feeling really romantic, you can even write a love letter.
4-Send thoughtful texts or emails throughout your day. Though you shouldn't smother your loved one with love all day long or it's effect will begin to wear off, you can just remind him or her of how much you love him by sending a short email during your work day, or sending a sweet text or two just to say that you're thinking of him. Here are some ways to send thoughtful texts or emails throughout your day:
- Send a quick email that says something like this: "Dear Joan, I've been thinking about that amazing meal you made more me last night. I'm so lucky to have you in my life. I can't wait to take you out to dinner this weekend to return the favor. Yours, Mark."
- Send a quick text that says something like: "What is my love up to this afternoon? I hope you're enjoying the sunshine."
- Don't go overboard -- just one message each day will get the point across.
5-Do thoughtful favors. If you want to be romantic, then you have to be able to read your loved one's mind and to know when he or she needs to you to help out a bit by doing a small favor. Though you may not think running to the grocery store to pick up a few day's worth of groceries when your loved one is busy is very romantic, it actually shows that you're thoughtful and attentive to your loved one's needs. Here are some thoughtful favors you can do to show you care:
- If your loved one has a cold, take on pet duty for the week. Offer to walk her dog in the mornings, or to help feed and take care of her pet.
- If your loved one's allergies are raging, offer to water the plants for a few weeks until she feels better.
- If your loved one is tied up at work, step out to get her some lunch and hot coffee.
- If your loved one mentioned some errand he needed to run, surprise him by doing it for him.
If was helpful for you, please leave a coment :)

How to Prepare for the Day That You Get Braces(Steps)
You may be thinking, "I'm getting braces tomorrow! What should I do? Should I take a pain medication beforehand? Should I bring an iPod?" Well, this article is written in order to help you.
3-Before you go into the room that they will put your braces on take a couple of deep breaths (it really does not hurt when they put the braces on; it only hurts that night and for a couple more days. Don't worry, though, the pain will go away as long as you don't touch your braces (then it will really hurt)--just do everything the dentist tells you and in no time you will be seeing a new smile when the braces are off and you will know that getting braces was worth it. First, they will put on the spreaders so they can clean your teeth, which may taste bad (they only do this so the glue on the brackets will stay on and keep your brackets on). Then, they will set your brackets on so they can see if they fit right or if they are too big. After that, they will get some glue, put it on the brackets, and take a bright light to harden it on your brackets. They will do this one by one, so you might want to bring a iPod or other music player to prevent boredom.
Steps
1-Go grocery shopping. Stock up on yogurt, ice-cream, fruit (for smoothies), Instant Breakfast, pudding, instant mashed-potatoes, and other foods that don't require chewing.
2-Know that they will hurt, to reduce the pain eat ice cream and drink water but don't swallow and puff up your cheeks it helps a lot.

Tips
- It won't be to bad just smile, you will be happy once you have nice teeth.
- Don't touch your braces when they are first put on because they might hurt!
- Relax before you go, or you could be in more pain.
- Take some pain medication before or after you get them.
- Go to the regular dentist and have your teeth checked before you get braces so you can know you have nice teeth before you get the braces.
- Remember, some kids don't get the opportunity of getting braces because they cannot afford it.It may hurt, but remember that you are lucky because you will get a straighter, perfect smile.
- You should avoid sticky things on your first week because it may be more painful.
- Brush several times EVERY DAY and floss once a day. Using threaders, you can floss with braces. It doesn't take much time to get used to doing it.
- Ask your orthodontist questions before the procedure.
- Eat your favorite foods like tootsie rolls, saltwater taffy, apples, anything that you won't have for 1-2 years after getting braces.
- Always remember, "Keep Calm and Carry On"
- Concentrate on something other than someone sticking bits of metal on your teeth. For instance, if they have a tv, watch the tv.
- Remember, if you get scared think of how beautiful & straight your teeth will be within 2 years(relax the finishing product will be worth it).
- Remember to relax... Bring an iPod so you can listen to music, just remember to keep it down so you can hear them talking to you.
- Calm down it's not all as bad as everyone says it is.
- The more you panic, the more it will hurt.
- If your office (like mine) doesn't allow a family member to go back with you, see if you are allowed to bring a small stuffed animal to squeeze when you're scared.
- If you bring an iPod, try to buy yourself new music a few days before your orthodontist appointment. This way, you can listen to your favorite music as a treat, and you won't be sick of it. Try to buy calming music from your favorite artists, not rap and rock.
- Stay in a good mood, it will help you to relax before the procedure.
- Make sure you brush before your visit.

How to Make Jello Shots (9 PHOTOS)
Written By Unknown on Sunday, July 28, 2013 | 3:52 AM
One of the more creative ways to serve alcohol at a party is to create
colorful and fruity Jello Shots. The process of making jello shots is
super easy, and is not that different than making regular jello. This
article will teach you how to make some deliciously simple Jello Shots,
and will then give you some ideas for more creative spins on the
traditional shot.
4-Bring more than 1 cup of water to a boil. You'll need exactly 1 cup of boiling water, so put a little more than that in the pot or kettle since some will evaporate.
5-Measure out 1 cup of boiling water and mix it with the powdered Jello. Stir constantly until the powder is completely dissolved.
6-Stir in the chilled water and alcohol mixture.
7-Spray the inside of the cups with cooking spray so the Jello easily slides out later. Adding small plastic spoons or Popsicle sticks can help, too.
8-Pour the mixture into the cups.
9-Place the shots on a tray in refrigerator (not the freezer). Chill them until they become firm (approximately 2 to 4 hours). Refrigerate until served and make sure to serve
them cold.
Traditional Jello Shots
1- Gather your ingredients. To make approximately 32 1-ounce (30 ml) shots, all you'll need is:
- 1 6-oz. package of Jello(170 grams)
- Approximately 3 cups of water
- Approximately 1 cup of chilled alcohol of your choice
- 13 oz. (26 tbsp., 390 ml) of 30 to 50 (~20%) proof alcohol with 3 oz. (6 tbsp., 90 ml) water
- 10 oz. (20 tbsp., 300 ml) 80 to 100 (~45%) proof alcohol with 6 oz. (12 tbsp., 180 ml) water
- 6 oz. (12 tbsp., 180 ml) 150 to 200 proof alcohol with 10 oz (20 tbsp., 300 ml) water
